HEALTHY HUNGER

This year Sir Wilfrid Laurier School will be offering families opportunities to purchase a variety of lunches through Healthy Hunger. Every purchase made helps raise money for our school. To order, you can go to https://healthyhunger.ca/ , and set up a parent account. You will need to select “Sir Wilfrid Laurier School” and then add each of your children and select their homerooms. Our next lunch will be on November 20, 2025 and orders must be placed at least 1 week in advance.  Once you have created your account, you will be able to see and order for any of the Healthy Hunger lunches we have booked between now and Winter break.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

Conference bookings open at 9:00 am on Monday, November 24 and close at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 27th.  Please ensure you have a MyCBE parent account, as you will need one to book an appointment.  Conferences take place in person on Thursday, November 27th from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm, and virtually on Friday, November 28th from 8:00 am-1:30 pm.

GYM LOCKERS AND CHANGE ROOMS

We are excited to inform you that, beginning Monday, November 17, our change rooms will be available for Grade 7-9 students. Each student in these grades will be provided with a gym locker and lock to keep personal items secure during physical education (PE) classes.

Important Details and Reminders:

• Grade 6 students will not be required to change and will not receive a gym locker.
• Athletic Clothing: Grade 7-9 students are encouraged to bring appropriate and comfortable clothing for PE, including running shoes, shorts, t-shirts, sweatpants, leggings, and long-sleeved shirts.
• Phone Policy: Students are not allowed to bring phones into the change rooms. Any student found with a phone will be sent to the office to speak with the Principal or Assistant Principal. The phone will be held in the office until a parent/guardian retrieves it.
• Participation Without Changing: Students who choose not to change will still participate in PE classes but will not be permitted inside the change room at any time.
• Discipline: If a student is in the change room and does not follow the expectations, the Calgary Board of Education’s progressive student discipline procedures will be followed.
