Important Dates


August 26, 2026 – School Office Opens (9:00 am)
August 31, 2026 – First day of School – Grade 6 (8:30 – 12:00 ) Grades 7-9 (12:30 – 3:16)


First Day of Classes 


This year classes start on Monday, August 31 for all students.  See below for start and end times for students.

Grade 6 students – 8:30 – 12:00
Grade 7-9 students 12:30 – 3:16

The school office is open to parents on August 26 at 9:00 am.  

 

School Start and End Times 


Our bell times are: 
Monday to Thursday regular days – 8:25 – 3:16 
Friday and early dismissal days – 8:25 – 12:11 

Doors open for students at 8:15

 

School Supply Lists

For students entering Grade 7 – 9, we ask that you please complete a course selection form (attached below).   Please return the completed form to the school office at sirwilfridlaurier@cbe.ab.ca.

Noon Supervision 


Please make sure you pack a lunch, snack and water for your child. Sir Wilfrid Laurier School does not have a school cafeteria where students can purchase food.
Grade 6 students are not permitted to leave the school during lunch times.  All grade 6 students must be registered for noon supervision.  You can do this using your MyCBE/Powerschool Account.  Here is the link. Student and Parent Sign In 

 

Fees and Waivers 


School fees are due beginning in September. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can login to MyCBE/PowerSchool to pay fees or apply for a waiver. 

There are a number of different ways you are able to pay school fees. Parents can pay online using VISA, MasterCard, VISA Debit, Interac Online or set-up pre-authorized debits from your bank account using your MyCBE/PowerSchool

Forms Required 


Prior to school starting, you will receive a link to MyCBE to complete the Demographic Verification Form and Annual Consent Forms.  

Please refer to the Forms You Need page on the CBE website for additional forms that you may require such as the Student Health Plan.
